Cinnamon and cloves

I want to walk and walk on soft grass,

My shoes crushing crisp leaves,

Listening to assertive indie beats.

I want it to be windy in the evening but not too cold

So I can take a leather jacket, wherever I go.

I also want the rain to fall

But not pour -

Just enough to rinse my world -

I don’t want to get soaked.

I want my coffee strong and I want crumbly apple pie

Spiced with cinnamon and cloves.

I want a screen-door, a porch and cushions on the floor

Where I can sit with my books

And read my way through the fall.
